WACHSENDE WURZELN

eng
WACHSENDE WURZELN (growing roots) aims at co-creating green educational and cultural resources in the housing estate at Böcklerpark in Berlin Kreuzberg.

ita

Wachsende Wurzeln is a participative process based on the role and significance of plants as tools for exchanging education and culture among different generations. Through activities in cooperation with the social organisations on site (community centre Gitschiner Straße 38, youth centre Statthaus Böcklerpark, Kindergarden Siebenschläfer) the project wants to raise awareness and empower kids, young, the elderly and women to rethink green spaces on the estate as a system of stones, plants, animals, humans, in balance with the nature of Böcklerpark.
The project is one of 13th funded by the My PlayGreen program 2018 (Foundation Roi Baudouin in collaboration with Timberland), with the aim of providing or strengthening access to trees and green spaces for children in difficult neighbourhoods.
